Walking Through the Seasons

This little “green” book of observations and reflections is a compilation of forty-eight monthly essays organized by the seasons.  The intention for the book, in Marilyn’s words, is that parents and educators will use it to support the instinctive connection that children make with the natural world and that all who may need it will find joy, solace and sensibility in the changing seasons.

“Marilyn Webb Neagley has the eye of an artist, the voice of a poet and the heart of a naturalist.  In this collection of her short seasonal meditations, she offers us a calendar of the natural year.  Her observations are full of wonderful details…”
-Gale Lawrence, author of The Beginning Naturalist and A Field Guide to the Familiar

“Marilyn has spent years exploring, tracking, recording, and celebrating monthly signposts.  Her keen observations and thoughtful vignettes are filled with curiosity and insight and capture the spirit of place through the seasons.”
-Matt Kolan, University of Vermont, Field Naturalist
